From the west:

From Vorarlberg to Tyrol over the Arlbergpass or through the Arlbergtunnel (S 16) – Landeck – motorway A 12 – Exit Ötztal – B186 (50 km) to Obergurgl

From the north:
Bad Tölz – Achenpass – B 181 – Jenbach – motorway A 12 – Innsbruck – Exit Ötztal – B 186 (35 km) to Obergurgl
Pfronten – Reutte – Fernpass – Imst – motorway A 12 – Exit Ötztal or B 171 to the Ötztal (without vignette) – B 186 (50 km) to Obergurgl
Garmisch-Partenkirchen – Ehrwald – Lermoos – Fernpaß – Imst – motorway A 12 – exit Ötztal oder B 171 to the Ötztal (without vignette) – B186 (50 km) to Obergurgl

Important information if you arrive by car from north or west Germany:
Some GPS systems recommend a route via Innsbruck, Brenner, Meran and Timmelsjoch. This route is closed during the winter months.

From the east:
From Munich or Salzburg on the A 93 to Kufstein, then on the A 12 motorway over Innsbruck to the Ötztal, then on the B 186 ca. 50 km to Obergurgl.

From the south:
Coming from Meran in South Tyrol over the Timmelsjoch to Obergurgl – High alpine road on almost 2,500 m, border crossing open from the beginning of June until mid/end of October, toll road
