Reviews of the Hotel Alpina

A wonderful first family ski trip with the children aged 11 & 13. The gourmet food at dinner was beyond our expectations and one of the main reasons we would want to return. The manager was very approachable and knowledgeable and it was lovely to see the owners at the Easter gala dinner. The effort put in for the Easter weekend was great.

This hotel should be 5 star. We will be back! Everything about this hotel was great. The food, kids robes in the room, staff.... everything was exceptional. We will be back!

This was our 3rd stay at the Alpina in consecutive years and it is simply our favourite place to stay. If I could offer 3 suggestions to build on what is an exceptional experience: 1) I think for any ‘returning’ guest it would be a really nice touch if you had that information on record and welcomed returning guests. I wouldn’t expect any member of staff to remember us, but if, for example, your reception staff knew a guest had stayed with you before a simple ‘welcome back’ would be a really nice way of acknowledging that loyalty. 2) I understand that costs go up year on year as do prices, but the cost of visiting this year was notably higher than last and while I appreciate demand may well exceed capacity during the uk holiday period it would be great if some form of financial incentive could be offered to returning guests. Having just looked at availability prices for the same time next year, it feels like they may be prohibitively high for my family - who are desperate to return for a 4th year! 3) we find the hotel exceptionally warm. I think it would be far more comfortable if a couple of degrees lower in temperature.

Overall another lovely stay - we really hope to return next year! The service at the hotel is brilliant and the ski-in-ski-out facilities make a family holiday so easy.

Was a shame we were in the dining section next to the lounge for the whole week as that is quite a big part of the holiday. Atmosphere was lacking there and it could often be too quiet and a bit uncomfortable.

Great spa, great room set up.

Last year we stayed at the Bergwelt and there was not much to choose between there and the Alpina.

Bergwelt and slightly better food, and an outdoor pool. Alpina had a better jacuzzi set up, better kids area and a bit more of an atmospheric bar area.

Always lovely to visit Hotel Alpina.
It is our second year visiting and each time it has exceeded our expectations.
Incredibly child friendly and friendly place to stay.
We will definitely return.

A perfect week for all of us in this wonderful hotel The staff made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Food was superb, service was top class!

We have stayed in Hotel Alpina before and hope to return as it ticks all the boxes. The reception staff, dining room staff and spa staff are all friendly and efficient. The food is excellent and it is easy to ski in/out. The rooms are very comfortable although some control of the heating would be welcome.

It is a well run comfortable hotel with great staff and excellent food. Its a little warm at times. It is well situated for access to the ski slopes.

We had another great week at the Alpina - everything top class and we could not fault anything. A big plus for me was the gluten free menu - amazing and thank you very much. I was surprised by this as it does say on the website that allergies can’t always be catered for.
